Fundraising and Court Resurfacing Update… We've Done It!

After an intense year of fundraising in the Club by tennis club members, their families and friends, we’ve raised over £10,000 for the court resurfacing fund. This has been through activities such as the Tennis Ball Lottery, Tennis Shirt sales, the Sponsored Walk, a range of social and tennis events and the huge generosity of members who have made donations to the Club.

We are also immensely proud that, as well as raising over £10,000 for the court resurfacing, we raised an additional £4,387 that has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. The challenge of raising funds of nearly £15,000 this year both for charity and the courts has really brought the Club together.

The resurfacing work is planned for February 2025, and along with upgrading the tennis courts we will be installing pickleball lines to both courts so we can play Pickleball socially and potentially in local Leagues and run coaching and Summer camps for both sports. Finally, as we expect the courts to be out of action for a few weeks we will be offering free sessions of Pickleball while the work is done, so members can get up to speed with this great new sport.
