Mini Tennis

Age: 5-9 years

Time: 1-4pm

Duration: 3 Hours

Info: Mini tennis camps are a great way for children to get on court and practice in a challenging, fun and rewarding environment. Players are split by age and ability and groups are structured using the LTA mini tennis system, with players playing in either a red or orange group. Players will have the chance to practice a wide range of activities, working on different movement and coordination games, learning about all the shots in tennis and get to rally and play points on a mini tennis court.

Age groups: Camps are split into Mini Tennis Red age 5-6, Mini Tennis Red age 7-8 and Mini Tennis Orange age 9-10.

Standard: Holiday camps are open to all levels and abilities, with groups split based on age and ability.

What to wear: Players should wear clothes they are comfortable running around in. Trainers or plimsols must be worn, players will not be allowed to play in sandals, flip flops, crocs or the like. Camps are held outdoors from March-October and indoors October-March, please make sure players are dressed appropriately for the weather. During warmer weather, caps and sun hats are recommended and please put suncream on your child before they arrive, coaches are not able to help children apply suncream.

What to bring: Please bring a water bottle and a snack for mid-session break. If players have their own racket they are welcome to use it, if not we have rackets that can be used. We provide all other equipment. If you are interested in purchasing one we have junior rackets available in our shop and coaches can advise on the correct size for your child.

Signing in & out: Registration will take place on hard courts 5 & 6. If you walk down the drive past the clubhouse and follow the gravel path along the back of the grass courts, court 5 & 6 are the first hard courts you come to. Players must be brought to registration by their parent or guardian. All players on the mini tennis camps will need to be signed out by the parent or guardian who is collecting them, from hard courts 5 & 6. Players will NOT be allowed to leave the courts unless they are signed out by the adult who is picking them up.

Discounts:  If you sign up for the full week you receive the 5th day half price, this is reflected in the full week cost.

Wet weather information & cancellations/rebooking policy: Where possible we will run sessions outdoors if we feel courts are playable. In the event of poor weather we will aim to use an indoor space in our squash courts or studio. If this isn't possible you will be offered a catch up session for another day, if you can't make another session we will give a credit for a future holiday camp. If there are extenuating circumstances which mean it is not possible to book on to any future holiday camp, refunds may be issued at our disgression.

Cancellation & refund policy: Our general policy is one weeks notice must be given in the event of cancelling a week or a day camp booking, otherwise you will be charged the full amount for that booking. If there are extenuating circumstances we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible in rebooking you on to a camp on another day/week. For minor injuries or illness we will adopt the same policy and rebook your session for another day, where spaces are available, but no refund or credits will be available.
