Tennis
As we were delighted to announce at the close of our tremendously successful club championship the club has agreed to invest in the refurbishment of courts 7,8,9.
Now that this has been confirmed we are actively applying for the grants/loans needed to bridge the gap.
Expression of interest forms have been submitted and acknowledged to both Sport Wales and the LTA. The application period will re open in November at which stage we will have our application ready.
Thanks to Jeff Gleave for his ongoing expertise and guidance.
In addition to these funding partners we are looking to raise additional funds through Crowdfunding (which can be matched (up to a max of 15k) by Sport Wales.
Anyone interested in supporting this please contact me. We also have a number of fundraising ideas and plans and anyone with ideas and is willing to help again please reach out.

A review of courts is underway and will be reported to the management committee about a refurbishment programme of all 4 courts. Updates to follow.
Squash Teams
3 weeks into our new season and all 7 teams have got off to a good start with over 35 players representing our club so far. Some highlights include the A team getting off to a flyer with 3 wins out of 3 and our F & G team winning their opening fixtures. We welcome new member John Turner who is captaining the F & G teams and represented alongside his two sons in what might be a club record that 3 members of the same family represented the club in the same team.
Anyone wishing to represent the club please contact Justin Nemeth

Accidents and Incidents
We have a Defibrillator and several First Aid kits on site. Any accident or incident should be recorded in the Accident book situated on the shelves by the Bar door.
Marie Curie Fundraiser event - £390 raised in the rain and a rescheduled date for the competition is 13th October.
October is ‘Breast Awareness Month’.
Prince Philip Hospital Llanelli works to raise money for their Peony Breast Charity by collecting unwanted / no longer needed bras.
Bras must be clean but can be in any condition.
The bras are remodelled / repaired or dismantled and as many parts as possible are reused.
The scheme raises funds, offers employment and reduces landfill. Please spread the word to friends, relatives and neighbours that the collection will be throughout October. If you can help please place items in the containers soon to be in the club changing rooms. Thank you Heulwen 07503219961
