Welcome to Tennis in Mid-Sussex

Courts Closed until 3 December 2020 following Government restrictions

Following the latest Government Restrictions coming into effect from Thursday 5 November 2020 all parks courts are now closed until 2 December 2020. These will reopen on Thursday 3 December 2020.

We will update this page again once we have more information.

We will be closing all of our tennis sites from 5 November 2020 until lockdown restrictions come to an end, due to be 2 December 2020.

Please see below a statement from the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA):

UPDATE - LTA Statement (2 November)

"The Government have today indicated that they won’t be allowing outdoor tennis courts to open in England during the period of the new national restrictions that come into force from Thursday. This is hugely disappointing for all those who love tennis up and down the country. We will continue to put our case to them ahead of the formal legislation detailing the restrictions during lockdown, which is yet to be published and is due to be voted on in Parliament on Wednesday. We will then provide an update on the definitive position of what is and isn’t allowed."

If there is a material change in guidance during the coming weeks, we will review our position and update accordingly.

We would like to thank all of our members and local tennis players for their cooperation and understanding during these trying times and look forward to hopefully having you back on court soon.

Welcome to our new tennis booking platform for Mid Sussex District Council parks courts.

Mid Sussex Council operates 5 parks tennis venues across the district, each hosted within one of our parks or recreation grounds. These offer the perfect environment to develop tennis skills, whether you play recreationally with friends or family or would like more formal coaching.

We have been working in partnership with the LTA to utilise Clubspark, a simple customer-friendly online booking and payment system.
