Sandwell offers residents friendly, local and competitive tennis for adults of all standards!

Open to men and women aged 18 and above, Local Tennis Leagues are for players of all standards. Players are organised into groups of 6-8 people of a similar level and arrange their own matches at a mutually convenient time over 8 weeks and any court that suits them both can be used. Entry fees are £15 per ‘round’ which usually has 5-7 matches with no other membership or annual fees to worry about. Players can submit results via their phone and can see all the other results in their groups.

There are prizes for the winners of each group and a free can of tennis balls is gifted to every player that plays three matches by the halfway point of a round as an added bonus.

If you are not a member of a tennis club, it can be surprisingly hard to compete at an informal local level or even to find other players to play. And with Team GB’s success in the Davis Cup and the ever popular Wimbledon, there are more players than ever looking for playing partners.
