Tennis Lancashire is proud to support programmes across the region to help increased the number of disabled people who play tennis.

For many years, we have provided support to coaching programmes, competitions and festivals in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside that help make tennis more inclusive and accessible.  These programmes include Wheelchair Tennis, Learning Disability Tennis, VI Tennis and Deaf Tennis, as well as sessions to support mental health and other long term illnesses.

Tennis Lancashire's Disability Tennis Committee, which is chaired by Tony Knappett from Inclusive Tennis Network Coaching who deliver inclusive programmes across the County, as part of the LTA’s Open Court Programme. Over the past 14 years, Tony, who is a former Great Britain international in Wheelchair Tennis has formed partnerships with tennis venues, schools, charities and community groups to increase the number of opportunities for disabled people to enjoy and develop through tennis.
