Nic Tweedy

Head Coach - LTA Level 3 Accredited+

Nic is passionate about inspiring others to play tennis.  She loves being on court, delivering a variety of sessions to help each individual achieve their goal, and passing on her enthusiasm for the game.  Enjoyment of this lifelong sport is a fundamental of Nic's coaching, upon which she helps players to develop their technical and tactical understanding.

Nic began playing tennis aged 4 and it has been a big part of her life ever since.  She currently represents Durham and Cleveland County Team and has done since the age of 10, having also competed up to National Level as both a junior and at University.

When not at Thorner, Nic coaches at the Yorkshire Tennis Regional Performance Development Centre, is the U12 Yorkshire Girls County Captain/Coach and the Tennis Coodinator at Leeds Beckett Univeristy.  

As a registered (SENr) nutritionist, Nic offers personalised nutrition consultancy services for individuals across different sport and exercise backgrounds.  More information can be found here.


Sam Crisp

LTA Level 3 Accredited+

Sam has been coaching tennis, part time and full time since February 2016.  Tennis is very important to Sam and he aims to share his affection for the sport with every player he coaches.  He has a wide range of experience coaching children and adults of all levels within group and individual sessions.  

Sam first started playing tennis at 11 years old and continues to compete in LTA staged events.  Alongside coaching, Sam is studying Psychology of Sport and Exercise MSc part time at Leeds Beckett University.

 


Tom Horsfall

LTA Level 2 Accredited

Tom is currently a member of Leeds Beckett University Men's first team competing in the BUCS National Superleague.  He is also the current Leeds Beckett Club President, which involves having a vital role in ensuring performance success in BUCS, as well as being engaged in increasing participation.

Tom enjoys coaching a range of ages and abilities to help them improve and feel confident to compete.

 


Tom March 

LTA Accredited Level 2

Tom has been coaching for 6 years alongside his studies; he recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University.  Tom is keen to help each individual enjoy their tennis and have fun developing their skills on court.  

As well as tennis, Tom is a keen gymnast and footballer.

 

All coaches hold an up to date DBS, safeguarding training and First Aid in the Work Place qualification.
