Playing History

Throughout Matt’s playing career he has collected numerous singles and doubles titles, including the Southend District Junior Doubles, Clearview Boys U18 Doubles, Essex and National League Champions U18

He has represented the Men’s 1st team at TBLTC and has also represented the TBLTC National League team.

Coaching History

Matt is our friendly and highly skilled Head Coach and has been at the club for 10 years.  In that time, he has greatly expanded our coaching programme and has worked in partnership with local schools in our area to give the children an opportunity to learn and play.  With 25 years' experience, Matt has coached club, county, and National players.  

Matt attended the Rick Macci Tennis Academy as a full-time tennis student. He has shared on court activities with the Williams sisters as juniors as well as hitting and competing with John Roddick.  Matt previously enjoyed working at the David Lloyd Centre in Chigwell, Essex (flagship centre), where his teaching skills encompassed a spectrum of people from beginners to competent and competitive clients to celebrities.   Matt also attended the Nick Bolletieri Academy in Spain.
