NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

St Albans Townsend Bowls & Tennis Club Limited will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 29 January 2026 at 7.30 p.m. in the Clubhouse at 8 Waverley Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL3 5PA.

Business will include presentation of the annual accounts and an update from the Board on the Club’s operational structure, which sets out how the tennis and bowls sections will continue to work together under a sustainable management framework.

Formal notice has been sent to all known shareholders. If you believe you are, or were, a shareholder and have not received a notice, please contact peter.hawkyard@ntlworld.com.

Notice to Former Tennis and Bowls Members – Shareholder Contact Required

St Albans Townsend Bowls and Tennis Club Limited
 

The Club is currently updating its Register of Members (shareholder register) to ensure that our records are complete and accurate, in line with the Club’s Articles of Association and the Companies Act 2006.

We are aware that a number of former tennis and bowls members may still hold one or more £1 shares in the Company but have had no recent contact with the Club and are no longer active members.

If you believe you hold shares in the Club, or previously held shares and did not formally transfer or return them, please contact us as soon as possible.

Deadline for response: 28 February 2026

If we do not hear from you by this date, the Board may proceed—

• to cancel the relevant shares, or
• to take other steps permitted by the Articles and applicable company law,
  in order to regularise the shareholder register.

This process is necessary to ensure the Club’s records are accurate and to enable future governance and structural changes.
