Graeme Clarkson:  Sunderland,  England, Pathways co-ordinator and development coach

Graeme Clarkson has over 30 years’ experience working within the tennis industry. Starting out as a teacher and progressing to Head Of Physical Education in Essex he moved full time into tennis working in a commercial tennis operation in Kent before taking up a position with the LTA in Durham & Cleveland.

In 22 years working for the LTA he was the Tennis Manager for the North East of England, advising clubs and Local Authorities on tennis development and club operations including competitions, coach development, player programmes and club management. Moving to Facility Project Manager he oversaw projects for the LTA in the North of England and Scotland with a portfolio of in excess of £x million, including most recently the building of indoor courts at St Andrews University.

A Durham & Cleveland County Coach and regional coach for the North of England he has worked with players at all ages to international level as well as captaining teams at all age groups.

His wealth of experience is used to effect in his role of LTA coach education tutor training new tennis coaches from Tennis Leaders to Levels 1, 2 & 3 of the LTA’s coaching pathway.

Currently operating a coaching business in Fife he offers coaching to players in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy as well as consultancy services to clubs and organisations.

Passionate about sharing with people the real benefits of playing tennis, socially, physically, and mentally, he enjoys challenging people to realise their potential.

Played and captained Durham and Cleveland LTA men to Group 1 county, as well as Captaining many junior teams

Represented Loughborough University

Plays county vets tennis for Durham & Cleveland LTA and Dunfermline Tennis Club first team.
