Llantwit Major Tennis Club was re-established in 2016. VTA worked together with Llantwit Major Town Council to develop activity on the 3 dilapidated courts and build interest in starting the club again. LMTC is now thriving with 4 new courts, state of the LED Floodlights, a refurbished clubhouse and boasts a busy calendar of events.

Our Programme

We have a busy programme at Llantwit Major Tennis Club that operates all year round with a wide range of sessions including; weekly adult and junior coaching for all abilities, competitions, short courses, pay and play sessions, holiday camps and Pickleball. Sessions are open to members and non-members. 

Pay weekly & Short Courses

We run a range of weekly 'pay as you go' sessions that are great for new and causal players. Weekly Pickleball sessions are fun and sociable. Junior Socials are a great intro into the game and are also free for members of the club. From time to time we also run one off introductory courses and workshops.

Term Time Coaching Sessions

Our junior & adult club programmes are great for beginners, intermediate and regular club players. These offer excellent value for money for those looking for a regular session. Suitable for children aged 4 and up to adults aged 94! Sessions run following the school terms and are paid for via monthly subscription (fees are charged pro rata across 12 months of the year). Our term-time programme is open to members and non-members.

Junior Squad Programme

Our Squad Coaching Programme is only open to members of the club. Squad sessions are aimed at players who play multiple times per week and either are already or are looking to compete in local tournaments and within the club's junior teams. If you are new and would like to join our squad coaching programme please ensure that you/your child is first a member of LMTC and speak to a member of our coaching team who can guide you before signing up to a session.

Holiday Tennis Camps

Holiday Tennis camps are the ideal way to keep your budding tennis players busy during the holiday periods. Perfect for complete beginners, casual and regular players aged 5-12yrs old. Each session/day consists of skills and team based games, coaching of stroke play and rules of the game, multisports and competitions.

Private Coaching

Private/Individual lessons are the perfect way to focus on the area of the game that you want to work on. Sessions are booked directly with a member of our team at a mutually agreeable time. Private lessons are great for regular players wanting to hone their game. We highly recommend new and returning players to book a few private sessions so they can gauge where to fit in within a club/coaching environment.

Junior Competitions

Competition is an important part of development as a junior tennis player. It's not all about winning. It's about learning the rules and learning that competing (win or lose) is fun. We run regular match plays, team events and fun tennis events to give our junior players valuable learning opportunities and game experience within a fun and friendly environment.
