Vale Tennis Academy is Coaching Provider for Millwood Park

Our community tennis programme across The Vale of Glamorgan strives to bring tennis to people and areas that would not normally get the opportunity to play. We are working in partnership with Tennis Wales in The Park and The Vale of Glamorgan Council to provide a high quality and accessible tennis programme.

Millwood Park Tennis Courts are situated just behind the bowls club. There are two New all weather tennis courts. The Vale of Glamorgan Council have teamed up with Tennis Wales and together have invested significant funds to fully replace the courts and fencing. We are all working together to deliver a programme that is affordable and sustainable so that the courts can be maintained and used for many years to come. 

Millwood Park's tennis courts are maintained and operated by Tennis Wales. The courts can be booked for just £4.50 per hour or you can get a annual pass that gives you access to the courts for just £39 for the year! Visit the Tennis Wales in the Park website for more details.

Term Time Coaching Sessions

Our junior & adult programmes are great for beginners, intermediate and regular players. These offer excellent value for money for those looking for a regular session. Suitable for children aged 4 and up to adults aged 94! Sessions run following the school terms and are paid for via monthly subscription (fees are charged pro rata across 12 months of the year).

Holiday Tennis Camps

Although we do not run our tennis camps at our park venues players can still enjoy our Holiday Tennis camps at one of our other venues. Perfect for complete beginners, casual and regular players aged 5-12yrs old. Each session/day consists of skills and team based games, coaching of stroke play and rules of the game, multisports and competitions.

Private Coaching

Private/Individual lessons are the perfect way to focus on the area of the game that you want to work on. Sessions are booked directly with a member of our team at a mutually agreeable time. Private lessons are great for regular players wanting to hone their game. We highly recommend new and returning players to book a few private sessions so they can gauge where to fit in within a club/coaching environment.

Junior Competitions

Competition is an important part of development as a junior tennis player. It's not all about winning. It's about learning the rules and learning that competing (win or lose) is fun. We run regular match plays, team events and fun tennis events to give our junior players valuable learning opportunities and game experience within a fun and friendly environment.
