Welcome to Victoria Avenue Lawn Tennis Club.

I am proud to be the Chairman with a strong energised committee that wants to make a difference.

We have lovely caring members who enjoy being part of our club that’s steeped in history and it goes without saying that our club would not run successfully without the enormous amount of time and energy that all our volunteers put into it.

This was clearly demonstrated at our annual Darren Toop competition over Easter where we were boosted with a record number of 205 entries.

My mission is for all members to be proud of being involved with this club and feel part of a larger family.

This summer we are looking forward to holding family days, parent and child competition, captains club day and our annual club tournament for all our members.

A full range of activities has been implemented which will include beginner courses and holiday camps during the summer holidays.

Gary Toop continues to coach so many talented children with more coming across to him each month as he starts his 29th consecutive year with us.

We continue to do well in our adult Leagues with two men’s doubles teams, two mixed doubles teams, one men’s vets team and a ladies doubles team and our own singles box league.

Our club is diverse and we welcome everyone – from complete beginners through to high-level competitive players.

Go on, give it a go – you have nothing to lose and everything to gain – fun, fitness, improvement and almost undoubtedly some friends for life. Enjoy.
