Christmas Bacon Butty Day 2025

Wallheath Tennis Club added Bacon Butties to their usual Saturday morning training on December 15th.

The Weather was good and Head Coach Adrian took the children through some fun games and drills.

The children were always very active on both sides of the net which helped them to keep warm in the Christmas sunshine.

The drills help the children to concentrate and develop good coordination, essential for the game.

The children work well together, giving them all the best chance to improve their skills.

Many very good young tennis players have grown from these small beginnings.

Parents look on behind as the children all celebrate a great Christmas morning of tennis. ( and bacon butties)

The club could not run without our crucial volunteers.

Brown sauce or red sauce was the difficult decision that had to be made.

  I've earned this!

The children were all very polite.

Thanks to Paul and Adrian for doing the taste test before serving.

Thanks to Claire and Paul who cooked and served the butties.

Thank you to all the volunteers, parents and children who made the morning a great success. Thank you too to those who gave generously to our charity of the morning. The BIRMINGHAM CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL received £120 in donations from the volunteers and parents.
