The annual WTC doubles tournament in aid of Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer charities was blessed with glorious autumn sunshine and another great turnout.
Some £325 was raised on the day. A host of closely fought matches was followed by tea and coffee, cakes and sandwiches. The men’s tournament was won by new member Jean-Luc Middleton, who was making his competition debut. The ladies’ contest was won by Sally Pipkin.
A big thank you to Moira Doran for organising and to all who contributed towards the lunch and the raffle. The fantastic sum will once again be added to by Lloyds Bank, Erdington, whose staff also held a fundraising event. This means each charity will receive £1000.
