Wanborough Tennis Club
We are a lively club situated on the outskirts of Swindon in a pleasant rural setting. We have a flourishing membership and are a focal point within the local community, maintaining active links with the local schools.
We have four well-maintained courts, two with floodlights; a full-time coach, club pavilion (pictured, below right), and lots of convenient free parking.
We are a ‘members only’ club, with an open policy on membership and we are keen to encourage people of all ages and standards of play.
Covid-19 guidelines. Please see the LTA and Govt guidelines before returning to play.
At all times, players should adhere to the Government’s social distancing guidelines (staying at least 2m away from others), and practice public health advice for hygiene. Please bring all your own equipment and hand sanitiser.
The Club is open to visitors. Guests of members are welcome to play. £4.00 per session payable by BACS to the club via the host member. Guests are allowed to play for 3 sessions before joining the Club.
Pay and Play is available to non members @ £15 per hour, per court. Booking essential. Payment by BACS

WILTSHIRE CLUB OF THE YEAR 2019
Comments from the Wiltshire LTA judging panel for Club of the Year 2019:
•This 4 court rural club has had a fantastic year.
•They have had a number of new volunteers join their committee who have had a tremendous impact on the club and are always ready to get involved in all aspects of the working of the club.
•This club offer a quality all year round coaching programme and has fantastic links with the local community and primary school.
•They held a successful Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend and have introduced a number of new sessions on the programme including a successful ‘Rusty Rackets’ session.
•The club regularly run tournaments and Team Challenges with other local clubs and a number of juniors have now progressed into the County Training programme.
•The club have recently implemented an online court booking system which has allowed their members to easily book courts and their usage of courts for casual play has seen a great increase.
•This village club is a welcoming, progressive club that caters for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. They offer first class facilities and provide quality tennis opportunities and richly deserve this award.
We hold regular adult club social play sessions throughout the Spring / Summer / Autumn months on Wednesday and Friday evenings ( 6-8 pm ) and Thursday and Sunday mornings (10 am-12 noon). Weather permitting we continue these sessions throughout the Winter months. We also have planned coaching sessions for adults and children (for full details please see Playing arrangements). Flood lighting is available and a FREE token system is available to use the lights.
