Wayne Scott Tennis & Padel

Wayne Scott Tennis & Padel are based at Broughton & District Tennis Club (The Club) and also Broughton Padel, both situated at 26 Whittingham Lane, Broughton, Preston, Lancashire PR3 5DA on the same site. There are five outdoor hard tennis courts and two outdoor artificial clay tennis courts, all fully floodlit with modern LED lighting. 2 new Padel courts are due to be opened in October 2024.

We aim to deliver high quality Tennis and Padel coaching to all age groups and offer both Individual Coaching and Group sessions. Coaching is available to both Club members and non-members. We also specialise in Wheelchair coaching for Tennis.

Whether you’re a beginner, or a more experienced player looking to improve your game, we can offer the coaching you need.

Demand is high for Group sessions and numbers are limited so please book a place in advance, rather than just turning up.

We also promote tennis in local schools by running sessions at the school to introduce the game of tennis to young people and stimulate interest in the sport.

All our coaches are LTA qualified, and in addition to their coaching skills they have training in Safeguarding, First Aid and up to date DBS checks.

Wayne Scott, Level 3 LTA Accredited+ Professional Tennis Coach, leads the coaching team, and has been Head Coach at Broughton & District Tennis Club since 2020. Closely integrated with the Club, Wayne is also a member of the Tennis Committee. With the exciting introduction of Padel courts Wayne has now been appointed Head Coach for Tennis & Padel, covering both Broughton & District Tennis Club and Broughton Padel.

In addition to coaching, we also offer a full racket restringing, regripping and grommet replacement service for tennis rackets, and regripping for Padel rackets.
