WELLOW TENNIS CLUB

Resurfacing survey at Wellow Tennis Club

We are keen to gain feedback from the local community as we seek to upgrade the existing tennis courts to meet the highest standards set by the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The hard courts at Wellow Tennis Club are in need of resurfacing having reached the end of their playing life.

We have consulted with 4 tennis court installers and the professional coaching staff and are keen to install the latest Artificial Grass Courts. The research shows these courts will be safer in wet conditions, require less maintenance and be cheaper over the life of the courts compared to hard courts or artificial clay surfacing.

As part of our club's mission to serve the local community by encouraging participation in tennis amongst all demographics; these courts will allow us to provide safe, enjoyable tennis to all age groups. Artificial grass is a softer surface which is safer for young people and less impactful on the joints of older players. This will allow us to offer new initiatives such as “walking tennis” and junior tennis camps during school holidays.

We would like your support and views as we seek to attract new members, young and old to the club. We are committed to offering safe, affordable tennis to the local community who are able to book courts on through our "pay and play" scheme without being members. Please complete this short survey if you are able. We very much appreciate your support.
