ABOUT THE CLUB
In June 1986, Chris King & James Mursell started the tennis club by getting together with the West Chiltington Parish councillors, who were very supportive. They managed to get some money from Horsham District Council to build the first two courts and later a third was added. A patient of Dr King donated some money so that the club house could be built.

We are committed to Safety and Inclusivity at West Chiltington Tennis Club. We have Standards, Codes of Conduct and Reporting Procedures in place that support our overall aims for diversity and inclusion to ensure that:

To achieve these aims, we believe that everyone involved in Tennis has a vital role to play in promoting diversity and inclusion and we ask everyone to become Safe and Inclusive Tennis Champions - proactively promoting Safe and Inclusive tennis and taking action against all forms of discrimination.
We are proud to have a Diversity and Inclusion Policy that demonstrates our commitment to making tennis diverse and inclusive. The commitment to Diversity and Inclusion is upheld by all - Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), Tennis Scotland, Tennis Wales and the Tennis Foundation.
Safeguarding at West Chiltington Lawn Tennis Club
Together we can make a positive difference to people from different backgrounds to participate in Tennis at West Chiltington Lawn Tennis Club. As a club we are committed to prioritising the well-being of all children and adults at risk, promoting safeguarding in our club at all times, including all programmes and events we run.
The Club will strive to minimise risk, deliver a positive tennis experience for everyone and respond appropriately to all safeguarding concerns/disclosures.
These commitments are fully supported by the West Chiltington Lawn Tennis Club Committee.
