Welcome to Westerton Tennis Club

About Us

UPDATE: 6th September 2022

Welcome to Westerton Tennis Club!

We are a family friendly club and welcome all members of the community to join in as much or as little as you like.

Westerton Tennis Club is a long established Tennis Club in the conservation village of Westerton in East Dunbartonshire, on the outskirts of Glasgow.  Situated behind Westerton Hall and Library on Maxwell Avenue, the club has three all-weather hardcourts, all three courts are floodlit.

The Club is actively encouraging participation for young and old in the community, and is always looking for new members. It doesn't matter if you've never played tennis before, you will be made very welcome - see the pages on Membership for more details.

Many members simply want to play for fun but for those who enjoy some competitiveness the Club is always on the look out to recruit members (of any ability) to join our Juniors, Ladies or Gentlemens doubles teams

The Club runs annual championships in which members can compete in singles and doubles competitions. There are also fun doubles events, both Adult and Junior, throughout the year. The Horne trophy is played each April- a mixed doubles round-robin tournament with random teams names drawn from a hat.

The club runs a full Junior (from Pre-School) and Adult coaching programme in addition to fitness classes - see the Coaching page for details and other activies such as Cardio Tennis.

We offer both Family Tennis (a coach led parent and child session for our members) and Social Tennis (for members to meet and play informally in both singles and doubles matches). Come along and get some free tips from our experienced coaches.

If you're interested in more information, or would like to find out about joining the club - please email us at info@Westertontennisclub.com
