Social Play

Social play is a great way to meet other members as well try out your skills against players of varying range of standards. We run sessions for Adults, Seniors and Juniors.

Sessions are normally run on a first come first play basis so you can normally either arrive for the start of the session or when work or other activities permit. If it's your first visit since joining and you feel a little unsure, just let someone know or ask if there is a Committee Member or Captain around as we'd love to meet you and help you settle in.

The format is generally Doubles, playing a full set (or if its really busy a fast-four set) before mixing up and playing in a different four.

As a guide for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED sessions, you need to possess consistent Serve and Groundstroke skills with a level of accuracy and pace along with being comfortable volleying at the net.  Players attending are likely to be meeting the standard of competing in our Teams.

Please do ask if you are unsure if your skills meet this standard.  We ask this to ensure attending will be both an enjoyable experience for you and others.
