Club Teams at WPLTC

WPLTC enter Summer Leagues and Winter Leagues. Fixtures are on the noticeboard and the website for your information.  We welcome support at our home matches, so come down, grab a coffee, and watch some competitive tennis.

In the summer, there are currently 11 teams - 3 Ladies (3 x 2-pair teams) , 1 Medley (1 x 2 mixed pairs) and 5 Mens (4 x 2-pair teams, 1 x 4 singles) teams playing in the Bucks League (April to September) and 2 Mixed (2 x 2 mixed pairs) playing in the evenings during the week in the Wycombe and District League. There are generally 6/7 matches in the season for each team.

In the winter, the Club enter six Veterans teams - (2 Ladies, 3 Men, 1 Mixed) and 1 Mens SuperVets team and 1 Mens singles team (1 x 2 Singles).  Vets matches are Sat and Sunday while Supervets are midweek at 11am.  Plus two medley mixed teams (2 x 2 mixed pairs) are entered in The Farnham Common Medley…both played at weekends too.

Eligibility for veterans matches is ladies 40 years and over, and men 45 years and over. SuperVets are men 60 years and over.

Match play is available to all members subject to ability.  An annual email is sent before the summer season asking for those who would be interested in playing.  Team captains will meet to allocate players to teams prior to the season.  Members are reminded that all captains are volunteers, they will look to accommodate as many players as possible, but their decision will be final.

Any match fees payable will cover cost of teas for home matches and travel to away matches.
