Saturday saw the return of the annual BTC Quiz and Chilli Night held in the Margaret Harker Hall.

62 members and friends made up eight tables and quiz master Martin (once again suitably dressed to impress), tested everyones memories and recollections, with some really varied and challenging questions over six rounds. Each round had answers with a theme, which was worth a bonus point.

Mid way through the quiz, Belinda and her team delivered a very tasty chilli and jacket potato meal with trimmings of sour cream, grated cheese and fresh coriander. A veggie option was also available with both being well receieved.

The raffle saw a great selection of prizes, with donations from members (Thank You to those who contributed) and beer and spirit donations from World Drinks Awards. A Heads and Tails round saw Liz Waller work her way through over 6 rounds of guessing and eventually walked off with a bottle of Irish Malt Whiskey - with that much luck, I hope she bought a Lottery Ticket earlier!

The evening ended with a very strong result from the winning team, Ros's Rogues, surging ahead to win by 9.5 points. The rest of the teams scores were very close together, reflecting the skills of the Quizmaster in striking the right balance (or were we all very clever?).

A huge thank you to everyone that helped make this event such a success and raising funds to help us improve the facilities at the Club for everyone to enjoy.
