Helping Out at Blofield Tennis Club

Blofield Tennis Club (BTC) is non profit making and exists to provide facilities for playing tennis for its members and visitors. It is managed by a team of volunteers on the management committee which deals with the club's administration, finance and grounds maintenance.

There are many things involved in managing a vibrant and successful club like BTC including running our Annual Open Day, Fundraising Events (such as 2 successsful Quiz & Chips nights every year, Table Top Sales and Evening Events). We keep club policies up to date and make sure general maintenance is carried out. Memberships need to be processed each year in April and there is lots of on-going promotion work behind the scenes to ensure events are successful. Work on links with schools and in the local community helps retain and encourage new players & members to join the club each year. We are represented at the Norfolk LTA forums which support club work and LTA initiatives, and we are registered as a venue for the Wimbledon ballot each year so that our members have a chance of getting tickets!

If you are able to offer some time (by offering, say, an hour a week or every month) you could be part of our volunteer team. This may be because you would like to gain some work experience, for your CV, or simply because you would like to help out.

You may have a particular skill that could be of benefit to the club such as IT experience (administration, website maintenance), Fundraiser, Legal work, Electrician, Plumber, Gardener, Signmaker or Building maintenance. If so, we would love to include you on a list of club volunteers who can be called on to help out regularly or when needed.
