Here is the final document, aimed at enhancing clarity and structure:

Selection Criteria for Assistant Coach “BLTC Official Hitters”

Over the past 8 years, BLTC's coaching team has successfully nurtured over 200 teenage members into accomplished Tennis leaders and coaches. To sustain and organize this growth, the following criteria have been established for considering candidates as “BLTC Official Hitters”:

1. Eligibility: Junior BLTC Members interested in becoming “BLTC Official Hitters” should first discuss their aspiration with a full-time coaching team member and the Head of Tennis. While obtaining the LTA Level 1 certification is a prerequisite, it alone does not guarantee “BLTC Official Hitter” status.

2. Assessment:The Head of Tennis will evaluate the candidate’s playing and coaching capabilities. Approval for conducting "Hitting" sessions with younger juniors will be granted after careful consideration.

3. Protection: To ensure safety, both for the “BLTC Official Hitter” and juniors, sessions will be conducted under the umbrella insurance provided by the Head of Tennis.

Process for Selected “BLTC Official Hitters”

Once identified, chosen “BLTC Official Hitters” will undergo a formal induction by the Head of Tennis, outlining their roles, responsibilities, and the club's expectations. Their profiles, including contact information and session fees, will be displayed on the club noticeboard. These assistant coaches will not be charged a court fee during junior sessions and will be covered under the coaching team’s insurance during club hours.

Expectations and Guidelines for “BLTC Official Hitters”

  • Attendance and Conduct: Punctuality and adherence to the coaching team's dress code are expected. They are to arrive early, set up equipment, and inform a senior coaching team member upon arrival.
  • Coaching Boundaries: “BLTC Official Hitters” will focus solely on directed training areas assigned by senior coaches. Providing unqualified coaching advice is strictly prohibited to prevent potential injuries or technique flaws.
  • Collaboration: They will collaborate closely with the senior coaching team, maintaining open communication and sharing insights when working with players who also have sessions with senior coaches.
