Rules

Fees:

April 1st – 31st March

Fees are non-refundable

Half rate applies from 1st October

Non Members are welcome to hire courts at the cost of £10 per court for up to 2 hours.

Non Members are limited to hiring 1 x 2 hour session per day. This must be booked at least 2 days in advance. There is no limit to how many days in a week a non member can book.  Non members are restricted to playing a maximum of 6 sessions per season.

ALL PLAYERS PLAY AT THEIR OWN RISK

New Members: All prospective members must apply via ClubSpark

Prospective adult members can play 6 times after which they will be invited to join the Club.

Dress:

All players are expected to wear suitable tennis attire and footwear.

Times of Play:

Adults Club Night Friday 6pm til dusk.

Adults Club Morning Sunday 10am – 12noon

Juniors play at Club Night by invitation only.

Members can play at any other time when the courts are not being used for matches or coaching, both of which take priority. The duration of the session should be restricted to 1 hour if others are waiting.

Club Play:

All players to mix in at all times. If there are players waiting please restrict the number of games to 5.

Adult coaching:

This is available on a Thursday Evening at the Quick Start Tennis or privately with Steve Baines - steveo14.sb@gmail.com

Adult Teams:

The Club has 4 Men’s Teams; 2 Mixed teams; 2 Ladies and 1 Seniors (over 55s) who play in the Halstead and District Tennis League. See fixture list for details of times of matches. If you are interested in joining a team please contact a member of the committee or captains directly. Evening pre-season squad training will be available for 4 weeks from mid-March at a cost of £5 per session.

Juniors:

Group coaching is held on Saturday afternoons with home & away matches on Saturday afternoons. Individual coaching is also available - contact Steve - steveo14.sb@gmail.com

Club Affiliation:

The Club is affiliated to the LTA. All members qualify for free British Tennis Membership but must register through the LTA web site.

All ‘Opted in’ BTM members are eligible to enter the draw for the Club’s allocation of Wimbledon tickets for 2023.

Court bookings: up to 3 hours of court time can be booked by a paid up member up to 2 weeks in advance using phone app ‘Booker’

Insurance:

PLAYERS PLAY AT THEIR OWN RISK

The Club is covered by a Public Liability policy (see policy displayed)

Accidents/Incidents Please report these in the appropriate book in the Club House as soon as possible after the event or notify a Committee member.

GDPR & safeguarding: members must adhere to the club’s GDPR and safeguarding regulations.

Tennis balls:

A bucket of balls is available in the Club house for use by all members. Please make sure all balls are collected from the courts and returned to the Club house at close of play. Please put old balls in the dead balls box as these are then re-sold.

Facilities:

Club house & toilets – entry by code. Please keep both clean and close when leaving.

Ball machine:

This is for Club members use only after training by a committee member – please enquire if interested.

Nets:

Measuring sticks are provided. Please lower nets at close of play.

Equipment:

Members or visitors leaving racquets, clothing or other property do so at their own risk and the Club shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury resulting from this or any other cause.

Car Parking:

Please do not park in the spaces along the wall or block these spaces as these are reserved. Members or visitors leaving unattended vehicles do so at their own risk and the Club shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury resulting from this or any other cause.
