Oh, what festive fun we'll have
On Christmas Jumper Day!

Yep, we've got good tidings to bring to you and your kin - it's nearly time to dig out those festive jumpers, don those reindeer antlers and enter the annual CPTC Christmas Jumper Doubles Tournament! We'll deck the courts with boughs of holly on the morning of Sunday 14th December. Here are the details:

Times: 
The start time will be 10am sharp and play will be fairly continuous until about 12. Please arrive 15 minutes early! 

Format: 
Doubles (probably mixed doubles, but possibly separate men's and women's doubles, depending on the relative numbers). It will be a "Fast4" format (first to 4 games, no ad scoring, tiebreak at 3-3). There'll also be a 'Sneaky Santa' rule thrown in for good measure! At the end of each match, the winning pairs move up one court and split up, losing pairs move down one court and split up. There will be small prizes for the tournament winners. 

Refreshments:
The entry fee will include festive refreshments after the tennis. There may even be some figgy pudding. Don't go until you get some!
 
Cost:
£5 per player payable on the day. Open to all adult playing members.
 
Other stuff:
You are, of course, cordially encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers, reindeer antlers, tinsel and/or festive hats!

How to enter:
Email us at cavparktennisclub@aol.co.uk. The tournament is restricted to 24 places (12 men & 12 women) and it's first-come, first-served, so please make sure you book your place as soon as possible. Be sure to respond before the end of Sunday December 7th if you wish to enter. Those players that do not make the draw will be placed on a reserve list.

Important: if you sign up and subsequently discover you can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can arrange for a substitute.
