Rusty Rackets

The club has introduced a friendly mix-in session for players of an 'intermediate' standard looking to develop their doubles skills before moving on to the regular club sessions.

We call them 'Rusty Rackets' sessions, but they're also referred to as 'Improvers' or 'Intermediates' or 'LevelUP' sessions. Whatever. Anyway, they should be ideal if you're either new to the game or returning after a break. Broadly speaking, they're for any players who need a bit of a confidence boost for whatever reason! They take place on Monday evenings (6-7.30pm) on Courts  4, 5 & 6. Tennis balls are provided and the sessions are organised by Dave Winship. The format is mainly doubles play with everyone mixing in and changing partners at the conclusion of a set.

We've set up a Whatsapp group called 'Different Strokes' where people can contact one another to find out who is planning to attend a particular session, etc (it's useful for us to keep track of who is coming to ensure we block book the appropriate number of courts for the number of people playing). If you'd like to be included and you're happy for your contact details to be shared, please let us know by email: cavparktennisclub@aol.co.uk.

Come along to a Rusty Rackets session and accept that things may never be the same again!

We've also gone live with a new 'LevelUP' singles ladder for players who take part in the Rusty Rackets sessions at the club. Players organise matches between themselves using the Singles Ladder WhatsApp group. Please email us if you'd like to LevelUP!
