A Wimbledon-themed Fun Tournament will be held on the grass courts at the Oratory School in Woodcote on Sunday 14th June 2026 (2 - 4.30pm).  

Venue:

The Oratory School, Woodcote (signposted from the A4074). See map at the foot of the page.

Times:

The start time will be 2 pm sharp and play will be fairly continuous until 4.30pm when a few light refreshments will be served. The refreshments will be fairly modest (strawberries and Robinsons Barley Water!), so you might want to bring your own tea.

Format:

Depending on numbers, the format is likely to be a round robin (separate ladies and men's doubles). Pairings will be drawn at the start. You'll play all the other pairs in your group. It will be FAST4 scoring (sudden death deuce, first-to-four-games, tiebreak at 3-3). At the conclusion of the round robin, the group winners will compete in a mixed doubles final. It's competitive but the emphasis is mainly on having fun and, of course, the experience of playing on grass.

Cost:

£10 per person payable by online bank transfer. 

Closing date:

The closing date for entries is 7th June. The tournament is restricted to 24 places (12 men & 12 women) and entries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, so sign up as soon as possible! Members may enter by emailing us at cavparktennisclub@aol.co.uk. If it's oversubscribed, we will maintain a reserve list in case spaces become available later.
