Happy New Year to Tennis and Padel players at Church Broughton.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new Head coach Alex Roome. He will be working alongside Ellen and Jakob to maintain our coaching commitments in the new year.
Alex has been playing tennis for nearly 25 years and coaching for 15 years and we are so pleased he has committed to Church Broughton for the next step on his coaching journey. He spent 2 years working at American summer camps and holds an LTA referee qualification which he uses to support junior winter team tennis. His degree is in Sports and Exercise Studies and he is also involved with the University tennis team. He is passionate about developing a love of the game of tennis in people of all ages and skill levels. Alongside tennis Alex has played padel and is looking forward to developing his skills in this area. Welcome to the Church Broughton Community Alex!
Many Thanks go to Hector Taylor for organising the American tournament over the Christmas break, to shake off the Festive blues! He is hoping to have another event around Easter so please keep a look out for posters and on the socials around then.
Our AGM will be in February (date to be confirmed) and as always it would be great to hear from any of you who can give a little time to the club and come on the committee.
At this time of the year it is great to reflect on all of the kind people who give so generously of their time in making the club as successful as it is. Thank you everyone!

Introduction
Church Broughton LTC is a long established LTA accredited Club with over 300 members. Our outdoor facilities at Bent Lane consist of 3 floodlit tarmac tennis courts a single unlit tarmac court with extra hitting wall and a Padel Tennis Court. We have an inviting clubhouse with a large open space, a table tennis table, 2 toilets, and a kitchen area.
Come and join us! The Club welcomes new members of all ages from experienced players to complete beginners and rusty returners. Head to our Membership Page to find out more about our membership options.
Visitors can also use the Pay and Play system operated by the club. Check our Booking Page for court availability times and use the online payments system to book and pay for the courts. The courts are not locked, so this is an honesty system. If it is dark, payment for the lights will be incorporated into court hire and paid for when booking and switched on in the cupboard next to the chalet; please remember to turn the lights off after use.
For experienced players and returners, we have teams which compete in both the Derby and Burton Leagues in both the Winter and Summer leagues.
We organise many social sessions, events and competitions purely for fun, so that even beginners can join in. There is a comprehensive coaching programme for juniors and adults.
Our weekly schedule can be seen under the Tennis or Padel tabs, where you'll find more detailed information and can also book onto these sessions.
We are partnered with PDH Sports in Duffield. Please contact them for any tennis or padel equipment needs you may have
