Junior Singles Box league Winter 2025

This Spring we will be running a singles box leagues for juniors.

The window for the matches to be played will be 16th March 2025 to 19th May 2025.  Please can you read the rules below before entering the Box League

THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRY IS FRIDAY 7th MARCH 2025

Players will be ranked and put into Boxes with the aim of playing everyone in their Box by the set play by date above the “match window”.  Everyone will receive by e-mail a contact list for players in their Box. These will be parents’ details rather than juniors. By entering you are giving permission for your mobile number and e-mail address to be shared with the other players in your Box.

At the end of the match window the points will be added together and the top two players will move up to the next division and the bottom two players will move down (if there is only one division, players will move up and down the division).  If two results are tied, the head to head result will decide the result.

UNDER 8’S - Matches will be a tie-break to 10 with 2 clear points to win. 

UNDER 14’S - Matches will be Set 1 and 2 to the first to 4 games. If a third set is required Set 3 will be match tie-break to 10 points with 2 clear points to win the match. 

The points awarded will be one of the following:

• 0 point if a match is not played
• 1 point if you play a match and lose
• 3 points (2 points for winning your match plus 1 point for playing your match)

The match winner must input the result on the score sheet that will be placed in the clubhouse.  Please make sure you put the result in reverse in the relevant box for the loser of the match too.

Players are responsible for arranging their own matches and supplying their own balls.  Please make sure you book a court for your matches.

Please be aware that players under the age of 13 should be supervised by an adult when they are at the club.
