Open Day at Iver Heath Tennis Club

Iver Heath Tennis Club is opening its courts to visitors as part of the Nature Valley Big Tennis Weekend as well as the Iver Heath Fun Day being held at the Rec on Sunday 28th July from 2pm.  Head down to the club where you can hit and chat with members of the club. Discounts will be available for those joining the club on the day.  Please note there will be no parking in the car park.

There will be many free acrivities on the rec and the Pavilion will be open with a facepainter and butterfly crafts.

Continuing our butterfly theme you can help us make a giant butterfly and you can see the 3 giant butterflies created by local children.   Get that summer selfie with the boards for you and try the smaller butterfly wings for your pet selfies!

The Scouts will be giving you lessons on pitching a tent and the Evreham Centre will be there with table tennis and a fitness trainer on hand.  Iver Heath Rovers are running a football challenge and you can see some of the history of the club on show.

Also confirmed are the Evreham Youth Club who are running some challenges and the Drama Club with drama games.

There will be story time with the community library and craft activities on a space theme.

A summer singalong will be led by Iver Singers.

Add to that our giant games area including welly wanging , giant jenga, giant noughts and crosses,  spacehopper races and circus skills; an afternoon with (we hope) something for everyone.  And, of course, don’t forget the tomahawk throwing!

All the activities above are free. There are no stalls with raffles or tombolas.  The event is about coming out and having a day at the rec.

There is an area for picnics if you want to bring your own food or you can purchase BBQ food from the Scouts and cream teas, teas and soft drinks from the Bowls Club.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads while the event is in progress.  Water bowls will be outside the Pavilion.
