Assistant Coach - Emma Peacock

Emma started playing tennis at 7 years old, in 2011, and has now, in 2026, completed her LTA qualification of a Level 2 instructor at age 22. Beforehand, her coaching interest started at age 15, when she firstly volunteered at the club’s Summer Camps, and has grown up to be a confident player for the Ladies First team.

At 19, she went onto completing her LTA Level 1 Tennis Instructor Course, while being at Southampton University working through her Photography degree. In addition, coaching has allowed Emma to gain confidence, experience, and learn the ins and outs of helping others to improve their tennis abilities.

At 21 years old, due to finishing university and gaining a Photography degree, Emma was able to use her qualification to help the club gain memories for their 100 Year Anniversary Celebration, which overall, was a successful day for all members and the community. Coaching is a job that Emma enjoys because not only are her students learning new skills and growing up to be amazing players, she is encouraging them to love the sport she loves while growing up.

Due to being at the club for 15 years, Emma has gotten to know so many people that tennis becomes not only a sport for competitions but for socials as-well. Being a coach allows Emma to help children, as well as adults, to gain confidence and further be apart of our Club’s Community.
