At Knebworth Tennis Club, we offer a range of regular tennis sessions and coaching opportunities throughout the week for players of all abilities. Whether you're looking for competitive matchplay, social tennis, or coaching to improve your game, there is something for everyone.
Wednesday Evenings – Doubles Matchplay Coaching
7:00pm – 8:30pm
Structured doubles matchplay coaching sessions led by our club coach Dan Clegg.
These sessions are ideal for intermediate and advanced players looking to improve their doubles tactics, positioning and matchplay skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Sessions rotate bi-weekly between intermediate and advanced levels.

Thursday Evenings – Club Night
6:00pm – 8:30pm
Our popular Thursday Club Night is a relaxed social tennis session open to all adult members.
It’s a great opportunity to:
- Meet other members
- Play friendly doubles matches
- Enjoy relaxed social tennis
Players of all abilities are welcome.
Saturday Mornings - Junior Tennis Coaching
9:00am – 12:30pm
We run group junior coaching sessions for children aged 4–11, led by our club coach Dan Clegg.
Sessions run in 30 or 45 minute groups and provide a fun, structured introduction to tennis for young players.

Sunday Afternoons – Coaching, Social Tennis & Tournaments
Beginners & Improvers Coaching
1:30pm – 2:30pm
New to tennis or returning after a break?
Join our Sunday beginner and improver coaching sessions with Dan Clegg. These sessions are designed to help players build confidence, develop core skills and start playing matches.

Adult Social Tennis
2:30pm – 4:00pm
A friendly Sunday social tennis session open to adult members.

Sunday Tournaments
2:30pm – 5:30pm
Our popular Sunday tournaments run on alternate Sundays from mid-April to early October.
The format is friendly mixed doubles, with:
- Short matches of 7 games
- Rotating partners and opponents each round
- Small prizes for the players who win the most games
Players of all abilities are welcome.
The afternoon finishes with our much-loved “tennis tea”, where players share cakes, biscuits and treats.
