About Our Club

Olney Tennis Club is a thriving club with over 250 members in the popular market town of Olney in North Buckinghamshire and welcomes players of all standards and ages.

We have four well maintained hard courts, all with floodlights, and an attractive small clubhouse with changing rooms and catering facilities.

The club is run by the Club Committee which is elected at the AGM each January, and a number of volunteers who help manage events and other tasks.

We aim to provide a good, safe environment for everyone to enjoy their tennis, at whatever level you play. We have a strong junior section and popular adult club sessions run throughout the week for beginners through to advanced.

We have been awarded the LTA Clubmark accreditation which recognises us as a well run club with a strong development plan and entitles us to apply for LTA grants. We have already been awarded a number of these to pay for Junior equipment and general development.

Our extensive coaching programme is provided by our Head Coach, Nigel Willard and his team, with a particular emphasis on Junior development.  A full junior programme is available for 3 year olds through to teenagers. The adult programme includes courses for new players, "rusty" players, and any player who wants to improve their match play.  Individual lessons are also available to work on key parts of your game. Visit the Nigel Willard Tennis website for more information

We run regular social but competitive American Tournaments to encourage everyone to meet up and have fun, with a cup of tea and a slice of cake in between games!

If you are interested in finding out more, come down to our courts and introduce yourself or contact us.

The social side of the club is very active too.  We hold several events throughout the year, including a quiz night, a summer event, presentation evenings and the club dinner.
