Oxford Sports Tennis Camp INFORMATION
Camp Dates & Times:
Please Refer to your booking for dates booked
- HALF DAY = 10AM-12:30PM OR 1:00PM-3:30PM
- FULL DAY = 10AM-3:30PM
We have a short snack break during our morning and afternoon sessions. It would be advisable to provide a snack to maintain energy levels during the day. A packed lunch will be required for those attending the full day.
RACKETS ARE PROVIDED IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT HAVE ONE – We have a very large range of quality rackets of all sizes to suit players of all ages.
Arrival, Sign In & Out
All camps will take place on outdoor courts at Oxford Sports Tennis Club (OX2 0NA).
Each day, on arrival, all players must make their way to the clubhouse and sign in with one of the lead coaches. Sign in begins from 9:45am.
Players are expected to sign-out with their coach once their parent/guardian has arrived to collect them.
If you have particularly young children on the camp and it is their first time playing tennis, it may be advisable for parents to remain close-by for the beginning of the session. This could even be court-side/on-court if necessary. We would like our younger players to begin playing tennis feeling as comfortable as possible.
Please Note: Players can travel home alone as long as parental consent is given at the beginning of the course.
Adverse Weather
The camps will take place outside in most weather conditions, as long as the courts are safe for play. Players should come prepared with a wet weather jacket and a change of top in case they do get wet at any point. If the weather is torrential, part of the course may take place indoors, however we will make every effort to keep players outside during each camp. Since we are in summer a little rain will not deter us from playing. Our Courts have exceptional drainage and are normally very safe in wetter conditions. We also have indoor provisions such as Table Tennis, Nintendo Wii and Netflix as well as tennis, sport and music related quizzes.
If for any reason the camp was to be cancelled due to extreme weather, this will be communicated to you at the earliest of stages and an opportunity to rebook another day of camp will be given.
Sun Safety
All players should apply their own sun cream at the start and during each day and are advised to wear a hat if the weather is hot/sunny.
Refunds
Refunds will not be provided to those who can no longer attend the course.
