Welcome
People’s Park is a delightful and beautiful open space in the heart of Banbury.
It is the town’s premier park and is loved by generations of Banbury families. It’s a place where residents of all ages can go for relaxation, peace and play. There are spacious grassed areas where people can sit, relax and enjoy picnics and there are dedicated areas for play and exercise. Well-stocked flower beds surround the lawns and glorious trees provide shade when it’s sunny and shelter when it’s wet. It is fascinating to see how the colours change season to season. The park is on a gentle slope which provides panoramic views of the magnificent facility.
There are two tarmac macadam tennis courts that were re-painted in August 2024 in partnership with the LTA and thanks to funding from the DCMS Park Investment Project.
Please use the booking system to reserve your time on court!
Please respect the facility for other users, removing any litter from the courts and disposal in park litter bins, leaving the Courts in a condition you would expect them in. Please refer to the full Terms of Use

Banbury Town Council owns and maintains the park and continues to improve its already superb facilities.
Attractions include tennis courts, aviary, children’s play area, multi-use games area, fitness equipment, bowling green, walled garden, and the war memorial. People’s Park is a stone’s throw from the Banbury Cross and one entrance is just across the road from St Mary’s Church.
Peoples Park main entrance is located off of Warwick Road, with other entrances from Bath Road and the Leys. The address for the park is
