The Ridings All Weather Path at Chipping Sodbury is much used and loved by people of all ages. Parents push prams around it, the elderly enjoy the level surface, walkers and runners also love the scenic, traffic-free route. It has been heavily used during the Covid crisis.

Created in 2014, it now requires annual maintenance, for safety reasons, costing about £2,000 per year. The Ridings is not owned by a Council, it is owned and managed by The Town Trust, a small charity run by volunteers, which is struggling to meet this additional financial burden. The top surface and edging has to be regularly renewed.
