For the first time, the Sheffield & District Senior Closed Tournament welcomed visually impaired singles.  Three visually impaired events were played. B1 mixed singles in a round robin format, with third place play-off and final. There was also B2/B3 Womens singles and B2/B3 Men singles. All played in a round robin format.  Well done to the winners, Sid Tambin (B1 mixed), Lindsey Green (B2/B3 Womens) and Jon Prashar (B2/B3 Mens) and runner ups, Emily Cooney (B1 mixed), Fiona Hodgson (B2/B3 Womens) and Santosh Ghosh (B2/B3 Mens).  South Yorkshire Visually Impaired Club would like to thank the Trevor Ward and the organisers for inviting us and we would like to say well done to all the players who took part (both sighted and visually impaired).  A special shout out to all the volunteers, particular those who helped to ensure that the visually impaired aspect of the tournament was undertaken in an efficient and hassle free manner.
