How to submit results for Surrey League Matches

Before the match
Both captains must print the Surrey League scorecard and take to the match. All 8 players must be British Tennis Members and you must record their BTM number.

At the match
Both captains must complete and sign the Surrey League scorecard and retain their own copy. Be sure to record the opponents’ names and BTM numbers.

After the match
The winning captain to submit result online within 48 hours of the match. The losing captain to check the result online. Winning captain follow the steps below:

1. Go to:

http://lta.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/clubteams.aspx?id=7F7E4E11-4D66-461C-AE1F-6F0A94968EEE&cid=25

There is a link to the LTA system from our tennis website under Competition.

2. If the top right of the screen does not show Spencer LTC click ‘Login’ then type in our login name, ltasur124 and the password you have been given and click ‘Login’.

The password has been changed and notified to all team captains.

The login name and password is for our whole club. If you have forgotten the password then please contact Sarah, Club Captain and do not click on ‘Retrieve password’ as this creates a new password which the other team captains won’t know.

3. Click on your team. If the contact details are not correct, contact  Steven Tart, LTA, email: steven.tart@lta.org.uk.

4. Click on the ‘Matches’ tab under your club name.

5. Click on ‘Modify’ next to the relevant match.

6. Click ‘Enter rubber results’.

7. Select the players for each rubber.

If a player’s name isn’t in the drop-down team list, click on the blue arrow next to your team name and then click on ‘Add player’ to select the relevant players from the club’s list by typing in their first name, surname or British Tennis Membership number (BTM number). Then click ‘Add’ again and close. This player should then appear in the drop down list.

Please note the player search facility can be temperamental so please type in the names slowly and if searching by BTM number, simply enter the first few numbers rather than copying and pasting the whole thing. When happy with the results click ‘Verify’. If the player doesn’t appear when searching for them please see the below ‘Adding Players’ instructions.

8. Read the instructions in the box and click ‘Confirm’ if the result is correct (to make alterations click ‘Modify’).

9. Now click on the draw name to see your position in the table.

Tips on inputting results for Men’s and Ladies’ leagues:

Tiebreak scores are not recorded (e.g. 7-6, 6-4).

Match tiebreaks to be recorded as 1-0 (e.g. 6-2 2-6 1-0). Match tiebreak points are not recorded.

Home team scores must be entered first (e.g. an away win is recorded 2-6, 4-6).

Losing captain follow the steps below
Using the draws tab, find the match and check the result. If you need to challenge the result contact Sophie Joinson, LTA, email: sophie.joinson@lta.org.uk within 7 days of the result being submitted. By doing this it benefits your players and the opposing teams in the division as league tables will be up to date.

Adding players
This year we are going to continue to use the new system which links directly to our LTA database, in the hope to save team captains a lot of time entering player’s details. In this winter’s league when you go to enter your results there will be the same drop down list of players as before, but this time when you click on ‘Add’ Player’, a player database of all the BTM’s at your Place to Play should appear. It will then just be a case of searching for the player using their first name, last name or BTM number and selecting them.

If the player doesn’t appear when searching for them, you will need to check the following; that they are signed up to BTM and that they are attached to your Place to Play. To establish this link, players will need to login to their BTM members’ area on www.lta.org.uk and update their Place to Play Affiliation within the Manage Account area.

If a player is not signed up to British Tennis then they will need to do so. All league players should be signed up to BTM. This is the LTA’s membership scheme and is free to join. To sign up players can either visit LTA website www.lta.org.uk/Members/Join or phone the British Tennis Services Team on 0208 487 7000.
