MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT: WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO OFFER ANY NEW FULL, OFF-PEAK OR JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS AS THE CLUB IS AT FULL CAPACITY. WE MAINTAIN A CAPPED WAITLIST THAT IS CURRENTLY 4-5 YEARS LONG. 

Non-member Juniors can play in our after-school squads at non-member rates but priority will be given to members.

Spencer Tennis Club has 6 all-weather floodlit artificial clay courts allowing us to play all year round and in the evenings with floodlights up to 10.00pm. We are one of the few clubs in South London to have four beautifully kept grass courts that can be played on from May until September.

We are a very open and friendly club, welcoming players from social to a high standard playing in competitive LTA Surrey League matches. If you are thinking of joining, please email David Cain to be put on our waiting list.

Membership Rates

All adult membership package costs below are exclusive of a one-off joining fee charged in the first year of your membership.  

GENERAL MEMBERSHIPS (Annual)

• Adult - £350 
• Couple - £640
• Family - £725
• Under 25s - £240 
• Under 12s - £80
• Under 18s - £125

CONCESSIONS, LIMITED PLAY AND SUPPLEMENTAL MEMBERSHIPS (Annual)

• Over 65 - £200
• Off Peak - £200
• Concession - £180
• Country - £100
• Team Tennis Supplement - £80
• New Joining Fee - £50 per adult (£75 for family or couple memberships)

KEY TERMS AND QUALIFICATIONS

1. Fees published are indicative and for the 2026/2027 season.  All fees are subject to change at the sole discretion of the committee regardless of amounts stated on this website. 
2. New members will be charged a one-off joining fee of £50 per adult.  Couples and Family memberships are charged the reduced rate of £75. 
3. Membership offers and changes to memberships are made at the sole discretion of the committee. Changes to a membership type will occur at the next renewal date of your membership.
4. Member subscriptions are billed annually.  Refunds are generally not given except in extenuating circumstances, at the sole discretion of the committee and dependent on the availability of a new member being available to take up the current membership. 
5. Members reaching the age of 65 years please contact us to move your membership at the next rewnewal date.  This will not be done automatically and will not be applied retroactively.
6. Country Member are limited to play during school or university holidays and are only open to current, longstanding members moving out of the greater London area.
7. Concession rates are granted if you beome unemployed, disabled/injured or are a full time student.  Proof of status is required.  Moving to a concession membership will be effective as of your next renewal date.  
8. Off-peak play is restriced to before 4pm Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) and on Saturdays after 4:30.  Further restrictions may apply.
9. A Team Tennis supplemental Membership is required for anyone participating in match play or wishing to join team tennis practice sessions.
10. A 10% discount is available to any adult member of other sports sections within Spencer Club
