Quiz Night - 1 April 2026 Folly Upstairs
Gather your teams and get swatting! This is a fun evening where this year 8 teams of 8 club members and partners will pit their wits against each other. The £22 pp cost includes some light snacks on the tables on arrival, a one course main meal buffet at the interval, the quiz master and prizes for the top two teams. Booking is on line with card payment.
This is such a popular annual event with limited space that immediate confirmed paid booking for all team members is essential. There is limited space so as soon as the email goes out - it will be essential to book! ( no refunds for cancellations). Please arrange for your Team Captain to do the booking for the party. The Club Spark software is set up in such a way that you will need each team members date of birth and phone numbe - so gather this before you book. Please fill in any dietary requirements under Special Requests.
(Unfortunately club spark is rather clunky, sadly we don't have control over this!).

Last Thursday of the Month Summer MIX IN BBQ Evenings 2026
Thursday 28 May, Thursday 25 June, Thursday 30 July, Thursday 27 August
Introduced to the club in 2025.. these proved very popular... up to 7 courts on the go with mix ins... whilst the social team get the BBQ sizzling... bring along your own simple to cook bbq food , play some tennis, and get your family to join in too.
Lynette & Tim Clarke and Matt Thomson with help from others kept the BBQ sizzling, Rachel Maunder and Chair Andrew Carnegie kept the games flowing and Jez Pigden added the 'icing on the cake' with his amazing DJ skills.
All welcome, including friends and families of all ages, whether playing or not. Extra VOLUNTEERS always needed to help the voluntary committee run these events - please let us know if you are willing to help in any way with the social events that make your club so special!
Finals day in 2026 ... date tba
Lots of members come along to join us for a wonderful day in mid September to see our talented finalists battle it out for one of the coveted SLTC Trophys. The competitors will have been busy playing their games over the past couple of months - with all participants enjoying taking part, whether winning or losing! We hope more of you can participate in to the run up to this event in 2026- and that perhaps we can look forward to some new faces in the finals!
