Mike's very last coaching session at Swanmore Tennis Club was on Sunday 15th December.  Afterwards, many members came along to say goodbye and to see Mike being presented with a Swanmore Tennis Club cap and a cheque from a generous membership collection.

Mike will be greatly missed and will be a huge loss for Swanmore Tennis Club. We wish him all the very best for the future.

Mike has been part of Swanmore Tennis Club since he was a Junior appearing multiple times on our honours boards and winning many junior titles across Hampshire. He headed to the USA to pursue his tennis at Radford University before returning to Swanmore in 2012 as Coach.

Since then, he has dedicated his time and enthusiasm for tennis for the benefit of players at Swanmore.  He has built up a thriving Junior coaching programme at the club and alongside local schools. He has imparted his tennis knowledge to many adults, encouraging and developing their tennis skills and strategic play.  Many of our members have children who grew up playing tennis with Mike and subsequently had tennis lessons themselves from him. He has also continued to play at County level and is recognised by his peers for his services to the tennis community.

We thank him wholeheartedly for his unwavering commitment to the Club and wish him every success and happiness going forward.
