Play Tennis Lewisham

We are pleased to announce that following government guidance, the Play Tennis Lewisham courts will be reopening on Monday 29th March. Courts can be booked from 1pm on Monday 22nd March. 

We also welcome back the South East London Tennis team, our affiliated coaching provider who will be restarting their Community Tennis Programme from 29th March for juniors and adults and they will be running holiday camps over the Easter school holidays. Remember there is a discount on the coaching for Play Tennis Lewisham members and the Tuesday (beginners) and Thursday (Improver / Intermediate) Doubles Play Sessions will continue for Members.

Tennis Ball Recycling Bins

There is now a specific recycling bin for tennis balls provided at Ladywell Fields, Mayow Park and Manor House Gardens sites. Please use the other onsite bin for all other rubbish especially drinks bottles, empty tennis ball tubes and the pressurised ring lid which are regularly left on court.

 Please note it is important that you continue to make yourself aware and follow the Covid-19 Guidance.

Lewisham Council reserves the right to close facilities again and revoke memberships if this guidance is not respected.

After entering the courts using the pin provided on your booking confirmation email, use your own hand sanitiser after touching the keypad.

·  Follow the rule of 6 for social play

·  Maintain social distancing at all times

·  Only handle your own racket & personal (marked) tennis balls

·  Avoid changing ends or change at opposite sides of the net

·  Take your own hand sanitiser to use before & after play and especially after touching the keypad.

·  Do not play if you are displaying Covid-19 symptoms or self-isolating

·  No bikes and training equipment to be brought onto court. Please secure all bikes outside the courts.
