Lesson Policies

Tennis Icon UK - Adult & Junior Tennis Coaching:

  • All courses should be booked and paid for in advance.
  • Coaching sessions must be booked in the name of the player and are non-transferable to anyone else.
  • Places on our coaching programmes are subject to availability and are sold on a first come first served basis. We do not have a priority booking system for players on group coaching courses.
  • Junior players must have on their ClubSpark profile an emergency contact number that is relevant to the time of the lesson, so that a parent or guardian may be contacted in the event of an emergency.
  • Players bringing any medical equipment to their lesson must indicate to the coach at the outset of the lesson the location of the medical equipment so it can be located quickly and easily in the event of an emergency.

Tennis Icon UK - Junior & Adult Group Coaching Cancellation:

Any cancellations of a group coaching course must be made in writing by e-mail to info@tennisiconuk.com. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.

  • If you cancel a group coaching activity and give us 14 days’ notice or more before the first session is due to start, we will issue you a refund.
  • If you cancel a group coaching activity and give us less than 14 days’ notice but more than 3 days’ (72 hours) notice before the first session is due to start, we will issue a credit (not a refund) to your account for the full amount of your booking fee.
  • Customer cancellations made with less than 3 days’ (72 hours or less) notice are non-refundable.
  • Group coaching activities are non-transferable and cannot be resold to another participant.
  • If you cannot attend a session of your group coaching, cancellations are non-refundable, and no credits will be issued, except under exceptional circumstances *. (This does not include Holidays, work commitments, etc.)

Tennis Icon UK - Junior & Adult Private Lesson Cancellation:

  • Individual coaching sessions cancelled less than 72 hours before are liable to pay the price in full.
  • Any cancellations of a private coaching course must be made in writing by e-mail to info@tennisiconuk.com or by message to +44 7521 847 762.  Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
  • Invoices for private lessons are issued at the end of each month from bookings@tennisiconuk.com, covering all sessions delivered during that period.
  • If an invoice is not paid on time, then we reserve the right to cancel any future lessons until payment is made in full.

Wet weather policy

  • You should bring protection from showers, as our general policy is that coaching will go ahead unless persistent heavy rain makes the courts unplayable.
  • If the weather forecast prior to the session is poor, any decision to cancel will be made by the coach as late as is reasonably possible. Whenever possible, and if you have provided us with the correct information, the coach will try to send you an email once a decision to cancel has been made.
  • If a session runs over half of the designated time and is interrupted due to weather conditions, the session is deemed to have taken place, and no credit will be issued
  • If a session is interrupted due to bad weather conditions before half of the session is completed, the player can request a credit note to be applied to their account.
  • Please bear in mind difficulties in trying to predict the British weather... our overall intention is for as many sessions as possible to go ahead
