Important Information
Gate Access: The gate will only unlock during your confirmed booking time. There is a small buffer of a few minutes prior to your slot when the gate code will work to give you time to get set up. Do not attempt entry outside of this window
Weather Conditions: Please be aware Calne Town Council may need to close the courts at short notice between September 2025 - April 2027 if the outside temperature reaches levels which may result in damage to the courts. This is to preserve the new court surface.

Welcome to The Recreation Ground in Calne which has recently received an exciting upgrade with the full refurbishment of both its tennis courts, creating a top-quality facility for the whole community to enjoy.
Proudly delivered by Calne Town Council in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the project has transformed the courts with a brand-new surface, fresh line markings, new posts and nets and a new smart access control gate to boost both safety and durability.
These vibrant, modern courts are currently bookable free of charge in one hour slots. Offering a fantastic space for players of all ages and abilities, whether they’re picking up a racket for the first time or improving their skills.
This investment highlights a real commitment to growing grassroots tennis in Calne, while giving local residents and visitors a first-class facility to enjoy for years to come.
