The Tennis Hub - Programme Goals & Objectives

The Tennis Hub at St Clements main goal is to provide a family friendly programme for all levels and abilities. Our objective is to give whole families the opportunity to gain a love for tennis and enjoy playing with each other as part of a family day out, as well as having the option to take part in a specific programme designed to cater for each individuals age and ability.

MINI TENNIS

Mini Tennis is designed for players from 5-10 years old and is a great way for children to be introduced to tennis or continue their progression from Tot’s Tennis all the way through to playing on a full tennis court. It is played with shorter rackets, softer balls and courts become bigger and wider as they move through the age/ability traffic light system, (red, orange, green) allowing players to develop a rounded game whilst learning a range of techniques and tactics.

JUNIOR TENNIS

Junior tennis squads and events are aimed at players from the ages of 11-18 years old. These sessions are played on a full-size tennis court with full compression yellow balls. The main purpose of these sessions is to continue to work on technical and tactical development and train for team tennis matches. The idea is to prepare our junior players to integrate with our adult programme through their tennage years. Also, to involve as many as possible in helping and assisting with our Mini Tennis Programmes.

ADULT TENNIS

We run a number of classes throughout the week which cater for various levels on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
