Judy Murray Officially Opened The Tennis Hub on Monday 22nd May running 2 parent child sessions either side of a short opening ceremony

Both sessions were fully attended with 38 children and 38 parents taking part in fun exercises and games to help develop childrens fundamental skills. This contributed to a fantastic overall turnout of over 170 people, who also had the chance to play some mini tennis and have fun on the bouncy castle. 

On the opening of the club, Judy said ' It is great to see an affordable, accessible community tennis facility full of families'.

In addition to the opening of the club, Judy and Kris then ran a well attended adult session on the Tuesday with 24 players taking to the court as well as coaches. To round of the 3 days, they then ran a session for local primary school children, with teachers and coaches trained up to learn how to deal with large numbers of children in small spaces. 

Overall an incredible success and a massive thank you goes out to Judy and Kris for all their hard work. A great foundation to build from and grow tennis participation on the island
