Junior Competitions and Tournaments

Playing matches and entering tournaments is a great way to test what you have learnt in your lessons.

The easiest way to get started is to play a fun match against a friend or fellow club member. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's more about learning to play in a competitive environment and you will find that the more you play, the more you will win.

Club matches

Start out by playing some matches on the Junior Leaderboard. Players who play at least 2 matches a month improve really quickly.

You can also play in the Annual Junior Championships, held each year between July  and September.

National

There are also many LTA tournaments available to play in, almost every single week of the year, for both Juniors and Adults. Anyone can enter, as long as you have a British Tennis Membership Number, which is free if you are a member of an LTA-registered tennis club.

You can also play in a Team Tennis competition, which is a fun way to get competing and you can play with your friends against other tennis clubs in your area.  We play in the Surrey and Buckinghamshire National County Tennis Leagues each Summer.
