Croquet has been played at Walmer for many years and continues to thrive and give huge pleasure to a growing number of members. Members play during the spring and summer months but more recently members have enjoyed playing during winter if the lawns are not too wet.

Membership:

There is a waiting list for croquet membership at present. if you are interested in being put on the waiting list please email walmerlawntennisandcroquetclub@gmail.com

There is a Members WhatsApp group which quickly communicates between members, contact the Croquet Rep in order to join.

Lawn Booking:

You can book a lawn 7 days prior to play. The maximum playing time is 90 minutes and maximum bookings  per week is 3, however this changes during the season.

Club Afternoons: 

Tuesdays: between 2pm and 4pm, after which members get together for a civilised cup of tea and a piece of cake.

Thursdays: between 4pm and 6pm after which the bar is open for refreshment and watching tennis in the evening light.

Coaching: 

New members coaching:  Tuesdays 1.30pm to 2pm prior to club session at 2pm

How to perfect angle play: Thursday 3.30pm to 4.oopm prior to club session at 4pm

Dress Code:

Informal dress code, flat shoes must be worn.

Note: mallets and balls are available in the club house

Competition & Social Events:

Competitions and social events are held throughout the season
